Workshop Proposals for MODSIM2025

Workshop proposals for MODSIM2025

Workshops for MODSIM2025 will be held on Friday 5 December. At MODSIM the term ‘workshop’ broadly refers to a gathering of more than 2 individuals that is not accompanied by formal paper(s) submission. Workshops can serve multiple purposes, such as collaborative paper writing, capacity building (e.g. tutorials), roundtable discussions and panels etc. The particular format of the workshop is decided by the workshop organisers, along with the timing and length.

All workshops must have a point of contact who handles all the enquiries and workshop registrations. The Society will help arrange a venue and promotion, but the workshop organiser has to manage all aspects of the event, including catering and AV requirements.

Workshop proposals will be accepted through an online form and the following information should be included:

  • Title
  • Short description (purpose, format, activities, target audience etc.)
  • Length of the workshop
  • Clear outline of what attendees will take out of the workshop
  • Workshop organisers
  • Point of contact for correspondence about the workshop details (name, email address)
  • Any other useful workshop registration and logistics details
  • Anticipated numbers
  • Whether assistance is needed for finding a suitable venue

Notes

Workshop organisers can charge a fee if required, but they must manage all registrations and payments.

It is expected that attendees of workshops will have attended MODSIM2025.
