×J3. From whole of catchment to suburban lots – using eWater tools to inform water management decisions across all scales
eWater tools are used across the country (and internationally) for an increasingly diverse range of purposes. This session will showcase the adoption and ongoing development of eWater tools, including the Source platform, MUSIC and Urban Developer tools, focussing on novel use cases and the interface between hydrological modelling and water management decision making, such as:
- integration of catchment, river system and water supply modelling
- understanding the whole water balance, including alternative water supplies
- scenario modelling to inform water management decisions
- water resource assessments and river basin planning
- modelling to support water system and river operations
- supporting transparent, repeatable and robust decision making through model management tools
- using the cloud for uncertainty analysis and optimisation.
Key topics: Hydrological modelling frameworks, Source, Integrated water resources management, Decision-making
