National approaches to hydrological modelling introduce efficiencies to assessing water data across multiple basins as only a single model infrastructure is required. As large-scale, semi-distributed hydrological modelling and global hydrological and land surface modelling science has developed, national hydrological modelling systems have become both feasible and useful and are now used operationally in a number of country's national hydrological services. This session invites presentations on both the science and applications of these modelling systems.
Key topics: Large-scale hydrology, Land surface, Water services
