Reliable prediction of future water availability is essential to inform planning, management and adaptation in the water resources and related sectors. Prediction of hydrological and water resources characteristics under climate, land use and management change will continue to be a scientific challenge. This session invites papers on hydrological prediction under change, including land use and climate impact on hydrology and water resources, implications on water resources systems, and hydrological modelling under nonstationarity and extrapolation to predict under conditions not seen in the past.
