Rapid urbanization has increased the occurrence of natural hazards such as urban flooding, land subsidence and land fractures, which has threaten the sustainable development of smart city. This session concentrates on utilizing multiple earth observation technologies, such as SAR, GRACE, MMS (Mobile mapping system), and modelling methods, including numerical simulation, data mining, data fusion, spatial modelling, to re-understand the process of disasters and to assess the impact of natural hazards on the cities undergoing urbanization.
