There are a growing number of regional climate projections being produced using dynamical and/or statistical approaches, such as through the Natural Resource Management (NRM) project, the NSW/ACT Regional Climate Modelling (NARCliM) project and the international Coordinated Regional Downscaling Experiment (CORDEX). This session calls for contributions addressing a wide range of scientific issues related to preparation and applications of regional climate change projections. Presentations are sought that relate to issues such as choice of emission scenarios, ensemble generation, model evaluation and skill testing, model output calibration and bias correction, statistical and dynamical downscaling methods, investigation of specific regional climate changes, application of regional climate projections to investigate specific climate change impacts on various human and natural systems, and the use of regional climate information in adaptation and decision making applications.
