Physical and biogeochemical numerical ocean models are used routinely by many oceanographers. Ocean models are often coupled to other systems, such as seaice and atmospheric models. Ocean models range in complexity and scale from localised zero dimensional models through to global climate simulations and encompass a broad range of topics, including climate, ocean acidification, pollutant dispersion, fisheries, process studies, plankton, and biogeochemical cycling, to name a few. This session invites studies on all aspects of ocean modelling, including those coupled to other systems, from basic algorithm and parameterisation development, to the application of numerical models to particular problems, and everything in between.
