Titled Development of an agreed set of climate projections for South Australia, this $6.6m research project will improve State Government coordination of planning and policy responses to climate change in South Australia. It will also aid the State to bring together policy makers, end users and leading researchers to develop a consistent cross-government approach to interpreting the effects of climate variability and change on water availability in South Australia. This will require a comprehensive understanding of the key drivers of climate change in South Australia and will produce distributions of environmental time series, including rainfall, temperature and potential evapotranspiration. These will be developed from a suite of agreed GCM predictions as well as current climate variability (including trend and seasonality).
