Simulation models are used to help evaluate current and future population-level health interventions, such as cancer screening, vaccination programs, and strategies to reduce virus transmission. The capacity of this area continues to grow due to improvements in high performance computing, knowledge-sharing between modelling groups, and improved access to high quality observed health data such as linked person-level health records. This session will focus on the range of modelling approaches in use to evaluate health interventions, with examples of how this work is being used to inform future health policies.
