H5. Spatial inundation modelling for environmental purposes

Modelling the movement of water onto adjacent land, whether through storm surges, heavy rainfall or overbank flows, is critical to managing risks to people, property and the environment. Water over the landscape can also be beneficial, particularly when it is due to targeted releases of water for environmental purposes. We are interested in papers that describe spatially and temporally explicit methodologies and/or applications that model inundation, from local to regional scales, and that meet the requirements and purpose of ecological response models.   We are particularly interested in receiving papers that address uncertainty; innovative use of remotely sensed, hydrological and climatic data; and fitness-for-purpose.
