×K24. Spatial analysis for hydrological modelling

Hydrological modelling requires a solid foundation of spatial data from catchment geometry and soil hydraulic properties to detailed surface topography and bathymetry, depending on the type of modelling. Producing that data often involves coordinating different data sources at varying resolution and quality, and requires careful evaluation of the consistency of the product and its suitability for the modelling task.

This session invites papers describing the analysis and processing methods developed to meet the spatial data requirements of hydrological modelling, including groundwater, river and catchment models and hydrodynamic models.

Key topics: Bathymetry, Soil hydraulic properties, Digital elevation models
